Of Honeymoon(s)

After every congratulations regarding the upcoming nuptial, the first thing family/friend would ask is, “So, where’s the honeymoon going to be?”

I think that question is expected. Before the engagement, the question was, “When are you two getting hitched?” After the wedding, I bet people will be asking “Pregnant, yet?” After kids, “Any plans for more kids?” and more questions relating to the children after that. From this, I can say that people’s expectations are completely too high.

If money was not an issue, Aslan and I would have spent ten days or more just doing completely nothing at the beautiful and heavenly island of Bora Bora in Tahiti.

Ah, this is the life. Just lazing around under the sun and enjoying the gorgeous views of what Mother Earth has to offer in Bora Bora.

Anyway, Aslan and I have chosen a few destinations for the honeymoon. We both have different views of what makes a honeymoon. Hence, our honeymoon destinations feature a wide variety of activities to cater to our needs.

The reason why we have a couple of destinations instead of one is due to the fact we both want to see the world before we settle down and have a family (Or tied down to work).

Ten days after the wedding, we will leave Kuching for somewhere down under for a couple of days. A short honeymoon thanks to Air Asia’s promo seats! What would we do without budget airlines?

On the second day of Raya Aidilfitri, we will fly to halfway around the world for the second part of the honeymoon and our third wedding reception with Aslan’s mum’s family.

From there, will fly to another country across the pond to continue the third and epic part of our honeymoon. It will be a mixture of city and island life. Oh, I can’t hardly wait!

Lastly, before heading home, the last part of our honeymoon, in the land of K-Pop and Kimchi (Among other things).

After typing all this, I must be crazy for dreaming up all these things. Hahaha.

Seriously loves, Aslan and I are not 100% sure about our honeymoon destinations. You will just have to wait and see!

Love,
E.
