Pullman Kuching Citarasa Kampung Buffet Ramadan

It is that time of the year again. No, not Christmas… Ramadan! It is the holy month of fasting but ironically, it is also the month of gigantic buffets and well, everyone I know fancies eating this and that on a daily basis. Hahaha. Jokes aside, I’ve been invited to Cafe Puzzle to try out their Ramadan buffet dubbed the ‘Citarasa Kampung’. It is not disappointing as it features not only Malay cuisines but a mix of Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Western and local Sarawakian dishes. For someone who hasn’t eaten the whole day, very tempting indeed. Now, shall we start with starters?

In the usual Pullman Kuching style, the starter area is full with all sorts of ulam-ulaman, salads and kerabu of all kinds. Trust me, feast for the eyes just looking at them. So, as my mum would often say, eat with your stomach, not eyes!

As for the main course, you are absolutely spoiled for choice. They have various food stations placed around the cafe such as noodle stations (If you fancy less greasy options, this is the one for you but then again, what is life without a little bit of grease? Hehehe) Sushi and Sashimi Station, Fried goodies station, Roti John station, Char Kway Tiaw station, Grilling station and a lot more. Here are the highlights:

It reminds me of yesteryears wedding ceremony where everyone gathered and cooked together. No such thing as catering back then.

Before checking out desserts, I suggest you take a breather after the main course. Just chillax and talk for a bit. Why? They are very generous with their selection of desserts. Trust me. They have ice cream (four flavors in total with so many condiments), ice kacang station and a medley of local and western cakes.
