Musbee Cafe, Kuching

As much as I am obsessed with dieting, I can’t help but to love food. Today’s review is awesome. I love both Thailand and Indonesian dishes and I just could not describe the love when these two epic cuisines are fusioned. Oh… Orgasmic? Hahaha. Seriously though, if you like your food spicy, without a doubt, delicious, why not give Musbee Cafe at Jalan Keretapi, a try?

It all began in Limbang. The love of cooking and food led to the birth of Musbee Cafe. It started out to be a hobby but eventually turning into a serious thriving business. Fast forward to today, they have not one but two branches in Kuching.

Their speciality is Thai and Indonesian with a local twist. Not all ingredients are available locally, that is why they have to adapt and innovate to cater to local taste. Their menu is available in ala carte, either personal dish or dishes to share.

Tom Yam Gung

The definition of real tom yam. A burst of flavors. Salty, spicy, sour and sweet.

Nasi Lalapan Ayam

I love how they add more ulam-ulaman variety to this popular dish. Their sambal is the bomb!

Papaya Salad

Spot on of my favorite Thai dish! If you don’t like spicy food, simply request to make this dish mild. But I have to warn you that some dishes taste good when spicy.

For something different and yet delicious, this dish is for the beef lovers out there.

Butter Chicken

A bit different from the rest of the butter chicken I have come across in Kuching but Musbee Cafe’s version is surprisingly delicious. Try it and you will find out why. I love the topping. So good especially taken with rice. What it is you wonder, egg!

Locally Adapted Pad Thai

Traditionally, Pad Thai usually use Thai Flat Glass Noodles. Since it is not available in Kuching, Musbee Cafe uses either yellow egg noodles or kway tiaw noodles. Still tastes good though.

Musbee Cafe is located at Jalan Keretapi, next to Genosys Lab. Open for lunch to dinner daily.

Love,
E.
